Fathers
Day Class
In
honour of Father's Day, we want you to bring your Dad, Uncle, Grandfather,
older brother or any male to class with you on Thursday, June 12th!
Have your guest wear his comfortable clothing, and he will participate
in class with you. You will be able to show him what you learn in
Taekwon-Do, and he will also be able to try some basic moves! (Don't
worry nothing too strenuous!) All you need to do is pick up a guest
waiver form, and have your dad (guest) sign it, and bring it back
with you and your guest on June 12th! Looking forward to seeing
you all there! Psst
this is a great way to check off "YES"
for bringing a friend to the dojang or Tien Lung function on your
Qualification Requirements (make sure you introduce your guest to
your instructor). Guest waivers are available at the front desk.
Schedule for the night of the 12th:

beverages) please make sure its nut free, and please let us know

New
ID Cards
Watch
for it! We will soon be handing out new ID cards in class, which
will replace your old ones. Do NOT attempt to use the old cards
once you have received your new ones. Your new card MUST NOT be

your card to a lanyard and onto your training bag. It is mandatory

Something
to Think About...
|
|
Time
to think of Taekwon-Do Summer Camps
Even
as you read this, you might have seen advertisements for Summer
Camps. Many kids are already preoccupied with choosing camps they
think they would like.
Since
the early 1900's summer camp has provided a safe, fun, learning
experience for children of all ages. Summer camp began in northeastern
U.S. and the area remains the Mecca for traditional general camps
as well as specialty programs of all kinds.
Think
about this. All children at some point need a temporary break. Summer
Camp will give you a chance to connect with other children and nature
in a caring and safe community.
A
Taekwon Do camp experience, in particular, will enhance your mind.
You could try new activities, gain proficiencies and skills beyond
what school offers, build lifelong friendships and develop a sense
of independence. It will help you relieve stress, instill in you
discipline and respect for others, teach you new information, and
provide fun games and activities to develop your body and mind.
Just
imagine yourself at Tien Lung Taekwon Do Summer Camp. You would
wake early in the morning just as the bird's chirp and the rooster's
crow. In the silvery blue mist of the early morning, your parents
drop you off at the dojang. As soon as you arrive you will do some
Taekwon Do and play some challenging and fun games till lunchtime.
After which there will be fun activities and out trips to various
locations in and around Edmonton (unless of course you don't like
places like: West Edmonton Malls Galaxyland, Royal Alberta Museum,
Swimming, Bowling, Lasertag & Mini-Golf). How wonderful to be
able to spend your summer this way. This is just a guide to the
kind of Summer Camp you can look forward you.
Keep
in mind that Taekwon Do Summer Camp is fun-filled and educational,
and more so than any other Summer Camp because of the focus on character-developing,
community-awareness and good citizenship. So, make your plans now
and enjoy a Martial Arts Summer Camp this year.
